description
This research aims to understand how digital technology is currently being used across kerbside collection services. The types of technology in use, who is using them, and their effectiveness shall be investigated along with looking to the future for emerging technologies and how they can assist Scotland’s local authorities (LAs) continue to improve the kerbside recycling landscape. An investigation of kerbside collection related technologies shall demonstrate the variety of technologies currently in use or being developed. This should not have any geographic or regional limitation but should be framed to include any digital technologies that could translate to use in a Scottish and UK environment. This initial review should extend beyond LAs to include commercial kerbside service providers as they may often be more inclined to utilise or explore new technologies to improve their efficiencies and ultimately profitability.Further information is provided in the Additional Documents that accompany this Quick Quote Notice.
