description
A Marine Litter Strategy for Scotland was first published in 2014, after a public consultation process. It was recognised that there was a need for co-ordinated action to bring together all the valuable work already underway and planned by a variety of organisations and stakeholders. The central co-ordinating body for the strategy is Marine Scotland, and a steering group of key stakeholders provides guidance and delivery support. The strategy has now come to the end of its lifecycle, and Scottish Government has committed to updating the strategy.
