description
The Barry Burn Flood Prevention Scheme in Carnoustie consists of grassed/vegetated flood banks. To maintain full flood efficiency of the scheme we require to cut the grass/vegetation on the top and sides of the banks. Most of the areas are vehicle accessible, however, there are some areas that will require the use of strimmers. Angus Council will arrange for an ecologist to survey the area in advance and mark out any areas for exclusion (birds nests etc.) if required. The successful contractor will be required to return later in the year to cut any areas that were excluded for ecological reasons.
