This is Phase 2 of a 2-phase competition. At this stage contracts will be let for Phase 2 only.Phase 1 involved research and development (R&D) contracts being awarded to explore the challenges and to develop and demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of solutions to them. Phase 2 will involve R&D contracts being awarded to businesses chosen from the successful Phase 1 applicants, to develop a prototype and undertake field-testing in Scotland. It is anticipated that four Phase 2 contracts of up to £150,000 (Inc. VAT) each will be awarded across both lots for a maximum of 9.5 months with a completion date of 28 March 2022. The assessors will consider fair market value in making their evaluation.There may be circumstances where additional funding becomes available at a later stage. In this event, SE reserves the right to offer contracts under the standard terms and conditions subsequent to the original award (see exemplar contract at Document SBRI 007).
