description
At a high level, the requirements can be split into two primary themes:
| - | Helping to address the behavioural challenges of young people and families in difficulty; and |
| - | Intensive support provision for young people on the edges of care. |
The work that will be undertaken within these themes should support our young people to remain safely within, or return to, their own community and minimise the number of young people who require statutory support interventions. The approaches should be strongly evidence based and taken forward in partnership with other agencies such as Social Work, Health, Education and Police. Risk assessment and management should be central to all working practices and all plans for support to young people should be based on a well-developed collaborative assessment process.
