The principal objective of the contract is to appoint a suitably qualified organisation to provide a weed control service consisting of three (3) applications per annum, to control weed growth instreets, along traffic islands, footways/pavements, around roundabouts, including those outwith 30mph signs. In the main, these will include:
a)Where a pavement is wider than the conventional measurements;
b)Along kerbs and walls;
c)A road made up of paviour sets;
d)Tree pits and raised sets in pavements;
e)Steps;
f)Central reservations;
g)All Interlinking lanes (interlinking lanes are the perimeter of each lane);

Roundabouts and central reservations and the smaller traffic islands, out with 30mph signs.
