description

The SPS as a duty to support the government’s ambitions and create a responsible and sustainable organisation for the benefit of the people of Scotland. A sustainable transport review concluded the SPS should adopt Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEVs) to enable SPS to reduce its environmental impact. In support of utilising these vehicle types the SPS is implementing EV charging infrastructure across four establishments. This project will provide for EV chargers at the following establishments: HMP EDINBURGH, HMP GLENOCHIL, HMYOI POLMONT, HMP SHOTTS.

The infrastructure will include charging pillars both internally and externally to the secure perimeter. External charging infrastructure requires to be integrated with the Transport Scotland ChargePlace Scotland network.
