description

The Cabinet Secretary for Justice announced in June 2015 that Scotland was adopting a new approach to the support of female offenders in custody, including the need to create an environment that encourages and assists with their transformational change, utilising facilities designed and built to take account of gender and potential trauma.

The strategy seeks to deliver a new Women’s National Facility at the site of HMP Cornton Vale, Stirling, together with the provision of five Community Custody Units (CCUs) at various locations across Scotland. In July 2017, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice announced that the first two CCUs would be in 1. Glasgow and 2. Fife/Dundee areas (subsequently confirmed as Maryhill in Glasgow and Hilltown, Dundee respectively).

This contract notice is for the CCU at Maryhill, Glasgow only.

A Bidders Forum is scheduled for the 3rd October 2018 at Maryhill Burgh Halls AM. Further details to follow.
