Request for Information (RFI)
National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) is developing a Digital Twin for Electrical Power systems to support transmission network design, analysis, planning, operations, and asset lifecycle management.
A critical enabler of this vision is a Network Master Model Manager: a controlled, authoritative environment used to create, govern, validate, and distribute trusted network model data (including associated metadata) across multiple engineering and operational tools.
Through the RFI, National Grid is seeking information on how your solution supports:
Robust model governance and lifecycle management
Standards based interoperability (e.g. CIM / CGMES)
Strong data quality controls and auditability
Secure deployment and operation at national infrastructure scale
Integration with existing planning, operations, and data platforms
Documentation outlining a request for information (RFI) will be provided to interested suppliers. Please contact Baljinder.besra@nationalgrid.com if you would like to receive the RFI documents and if you wish to submit a response.
This RFI does not constitute a formal competitive tendering process.
Should National Grid have a desire towards supplier selection and contract award, suppliers may be invited to the possible stages of pre-qualification and Request for Proposal.
Further stages are optional for National Grid.
