description

This will be a housing related supported housing project for care experienced young people aged 16 to 18, of either gender, with no dependent children. It is a high intensity supported housing project, consisting of 5 units of supported accommodation which will be staffed 24 hours a day, with post move on floating housing related support for up to 6 months.

The Young People’s Supported Housing Project will provide holistic, trauma-informed support to young people with care experience that are also experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or complex needs. The service will offer short and medium-term supported accommodation, empowering young people to build the skills, resilience, and confidence they need for sustainable independent living.

Young people’s needs will be such that they require support at a staff to client ratio of 1:2.5, and will require the presence of sleep-in staff overnight, with the flexibility to increase staff ratios dependant on need which may include waking night staff.
