description

ScotRail Trains Limited (hereinafter referenced as ScotRail) are looking to tender for the provision of an Air Reservoir (various) overhaul service in accordance with rail safety critical and rail standards, and using Scotrail-provided materials.

Noting the Out of Service (OSD) for HSTs, the business has revised the procurement strategy and the tender will now be separated into Lots to account for the differing contract end date required for the HSTs.

-Lot 1 – for Class 153, 156 & 158 trains; and
-Lot 2 – for HST Class 43 Power Car & Mark III Coach

As part of the ITN process Suppliers will be able to bid for one or more Lots.

An air reservoir is defined as a vessel (other than a pipe coil or ancillary fitting and part of the compressor) for containing compressed air. The group definition is based on the Reservoirs function, material and vehicle classification. ScotRail Trains Limited reserve the right to add or remove the numbers of overhauls per class of train, as the business requires.
