To finalise the report and recommendations from the Roads Policing Review (RPR) and finish developing the Roads Policing Innovation Programme (RPIP), to launch in April 2026 with funding for the lifetime the current Spending Review (SR).
RPIP and the work packages under it are being designed in response to the recommendations from the RPR, in order to improve the policing of our roads.
DfT is already working with key delivery partners/stakeholders developing and implementing RPIP, during the first six months of this financial year (2025/26).
