Appointment of specialist energy solutions services for Retrofit at Scale Project

Appointment of specialist energy solutions company with expertise to carry out multidisciplinary functions including grant compliant energy surveys, solar / renewable designs, resident engagement as preparatory services supporting the Retrofit as Scale (RaS) project

The RaS pilot involves a model to test and develop the principles as part of a prototype to reduce carbon emissions at scale across our housing stock while providing lower energy costs for residents. It is the intention of the Council to set up, as a proto-type, a special purpose vehicle which will facilitate the installation of Solar PV an Battery energy storage systems across 2,000-3,000 homes. The proposed approach is the first of its kind at any significant scale. This initial preparatory work under the direct award will provide the Council with the necessary documentation to allow pre-purchasing material (such as solar panels, inverters, and batteries) to to mitigate future retail price increases and meet grant funder requirements.
