Luton Council will be going out to tender for Cleaning of Silicone Render to Low Rise and Medium Rise Buildings & Abseil Cleaning of all High Rise Blocks. The council would like to engage with suitably qualified and experienced cleaning contractors to design and deliver proposals for the following services:

  1. Rendered Wall Cleaning

To provide a detailed proposal and undertake the cleaning and maintenance of rendered walls on blocks of flats, ensuring they are maintained in a good state of repair and appearance.

  1. Abseil Cleaning of High-Rise Buildings

To provide specialist abseil cleaning services for all Council-owned high-rise residential buildings featuring full metal cladding, ensuring that all works are completed to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and compliance.

  1. Window Cleaning

To carry out the external cleaning of windows on Council-owned residential blocks, including high-rise properties, using appropriate access methods such as abseil, reach-and-wash, or other approved techniques. All works must be undertaken to ensure a streak-free finish and to maintain the overall aesthetic of the buildings.

  1. Pigeon Spikes – Replacement and Re-Fixing

To inspect, clean, and, where required, replace or securely re-fix pigeon deterrent spikes using permanent fixings as agreed with the Council. All installations must be robust, durable, and appropriate for long-term use, preventing reoccurrence of bird fouling and nesting on ledges and cladding.
