Scope of Services to GWH:

 Radiation Dose & Image Quality Optimisation: Advice and support from RPA2000-certified Medical Physics Experts in line with NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) guidance and IRMER 2017 regulations.

 Performance Testing & Quality Assurance: Routine and acceptance testing of x-ray mammography systems, ultrasound scanners, specimen cabinets, and reporting monitors. Includes testing after major breakdowns or component replacements.

 Annual Dose Surveys: Calculation and reporting of mean glandular dose across mammography units, including data collection and analysis.

 Commissioning & Equipment Advice: Support for equipment selection, procurement, and commissioning to ensure clinical safety and performance.

 Training & Liaison: Coordination with radiographers and the Screening Quality Assurance Service, including staff training and participation in professional development activities.
