description

Birmingham City Council (the Council) is seeking to appoint an organisation for the provision of repairs and maintenance of synthetic carpet in play areas.

The contract for the services will commence in October 2025 and will be in place for a period of 3 years.

Specification for the annual repairs and maintenance on the synthetic grass matting

Birmingham City Council require a quotation for the delivery of the annual repairs and maintenance of the synthetic grass matting safety surfacing for the play facilities with this type of surfacing in our portfolio.

Currently there are 69 play facilities total size 19,994m2 across Birmingham City Councils play portfolio that have a synthetic grass matting. There are 2 Multi Use Games Areas (MUGA) total size 3,366m2.

Due to the nature of the playgrounds it is recommended that the contractor visits all sites before quoting, all sites have different shapes and sizes and patterns in the carpet. There is a selection of colours used and any repairs undertaken need to match the existing carpets.

The 4 play areas listed below are part of The Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield (RTSC). Through the duration of this contract these play areas may be transferred into the ownership of RTSC. We would need to seek a price for inclusion on an individual basis as the sites may be transferred.
