description
Stockton Borough Council has been successful in obtaining funding from Tees Valley Combined Authority's Levelling Up Fund, which included an allocation for improvements to the Cycle Network linking areas of Stockton to Stockton Town Centre. The deadline for the funding stipulates that all spend must be made and the project completed by March 2026. Initial concept and preliminary design work was completed throughout 2024 and 2025, and we now require a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey to identify the locations of underground utilities and services. This will greatly help inform detailed design work to allow the scheme to avoid the need for costly diversions, where possible.
