Preliminary market engagement - Not for Profit Operator for Staff and Student Accommodation

The Opportunity

The purpose of this market engagement is to identify ‘not for profit’ operators of staff and student accommodation, who may be interested in the described opportunity at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), in Swindon.

The opportunity is in two distinct parts:

1. New development: The appointment of a “not for profit” operator to manage a new purpose-built staff & student accommodation facility to be built on GWH’s 5.5 HA Expansion Land site, directly adjacent to the main hospital.
2. Existing facility: Downsview House (DVH) is owned and operated by Unite Students under NHS PFI arrangements – this PFI contract concludes in Oct 2029. It is anticipated that the selected operator will take over the management of DVH in due course.
