UKNNL intends to put to tender a contract for Occupational Health and Related Services. The Contract is being offered under a competitive bidding process and the UKNNL’s Terms and Conditions will govern any resultant Contract. Key dates: Publication of Tender Gateway Questions via CTM – 20/02/2026 Deadline for submission of Tender Gateway Questions – 04/03/2026 Issue Gateway Questions notifications – 06/03/2026 Issue of Tender pack via CTM – 09/03/2026 Scope of Services: Pre-Employment - Pre-Appointment and Pre-Enrolment Checks - Pre-Placement/Pre-Employment Medical Assessments (Paper Review) - Pre-Placement/Pre-Employment Medical Assessments (Telephone) - Pre-Placement/Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Screening Role-Specific Medicals - Confined Space Medical Assessment. - Crane/Forklift Truck/MEWP Operator Medical Employee Health Management - Attendance Management Advice and Assessments - Doctor Led Management Referrals - Nurse Led Management Referrals - Health Screening Services - Neurodiversity Testing - Random/Unannounced Drug and Alcohol Screening Service Delivery and Capability - Provide a structured feedback mechanism, including regular reporting on user satisfaction and service improvements. - Meet accessibility and inclusion standards, including physical access, language support, and reasonable adjustments for diverse user needs. - Clear escalation process in place for urgent or unresolved cases, clearly communicated to clients. - Provide post-appointment aftercare or follow-up guidance for service users. - Provide itemised invoices by business area or department and support multiple purchase orders. - Deliver services at multiple or alternative locations, including sub-clinics or arrangements for remote and off-site workers. - An online booking portal that allows clients to schedule and manage appointments. - On-site attendance to conduct drug and alcohol testing, including both for-cause and random testing. - The ability to engage directly with employees to provide medical support or advice when required. - The ability to liaise with HR Operations to discuss individual cases or referrals. Sites The Provider must ensure that services are accessible to users located near UKNNL’s primary sites. This includes delivering occupational health services in a manner that minimises travel and disruption for employees. The primary locations are: - Warrington: Chadwick House, Birchwood Park, Warrington, Cheshire, WA3 6AE. - Workington: Workington Laboratory, Havelock Road, Derwent Howe, Workington, Cumbria, CA14 3YQ. There may also be a requirement for the Provider to deliver services on an ad hoc basis to remote workers or users based near other UKNNL or partner sites.
