description

The Council anticipates purchasing approximately 12 Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) to facilitate weekly food waste collections.

It is the Council's preference for the RCVs to be electric. The option of diesel and electric powered RCVs will be determined in view of performance, cost and overall value for money.

It is expected that the Council will require a mixture of 7.5T and 12T RCVs.

The exact number, size, specification and the required delivery date of the vehicles is currently unknown.

The requirement is for the out-right purchase of the vehicles. There is no requirement for hire or contract hire vehicles.
