description

Support services for Unaccompnied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) ensure that their immediate needs are met upon arrival in Kent, prior to entering the care of the local authority. Subsequent orientation sessions are designed to provide early stage information about the asylum process in the UK and other information relevant to a newly arrived child in the UK.

The Service operates alongside, and in collaboration with the Authority and a range of other services and Suppliers to enable the effective operation of the system to manage and support UASC.
