The University is the single occupier of the Maxwell Building. The building houses professional services, teaching space and a canteen on the ground floor. The building is located centrally on the Peel Park campus and is the main campus reception. The WCs within scope include a Female WC located on the 4th Floor and a Male and Accessible WC on the 9th Floor.

Overview of Works

  • Strip out and disposal of existing internal fixtures and finishes
  • Associated mechanical and electrical works
  • Plumbing/sanitary installations including wash basins, toilet basins, urinals and hand dryers.
  • Installation of WC cubicles
  • Refurbishment of ceiling, floor and wall finishes.
  • General decorations.

The scheme will be completed during the normal works hours of Monday to Friday 07:30 - 18:00. The building will be fully occupied for the duration. The contractor should detail within their methodology response, how they intend to minimise disturbance to building users.

The scheme will be competitively tendered through an open tender exercise, and the successful contractor will be chosen based on the most economically advantageous offer to the University of Salford as detailed in the ITT cover letter.
