description
South Holland District Council is soon to be commencing a construction contract that will see new swimming pool facilities developed as part of a major redevelopment project at the Castle Sports Centre, Spalding.
Upon opening of the new venue from January 2027, the existing Castle Swimming Pools building will then close, ready for demolition.
The Council intend to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified demolition contractor to safely and appropriately deal with the demolition of the old pool building including clearance and levelling of the associated site area.
This pre-market-engagement stage is intended to support and inform the future tender process, for these demolition works.
The Council is initially seeking feedback from suitably experienced and qualified demolition contractors to:
| • | Use their knowledge and experience to suggest how the project can best achieve its objectives. |
| • | Provide indicative estimate pricing to help the Council understand the cost threshold of these works, guiding the eventual procurement tender process. |
