The Trust is required to run a tender process to appoint one single Contractor for Catering Services for 4 academies to align with their new academic year, starting September 2025.
Catering services are currently provided in house.
This process is required to:
| • | An open, collaborate partnership between the schools and the provider. |
| • | Meals served to pupils are appealing, nutritious, well-cooked and culturally appropriate. |
| • | Meals are value for money for the school. |
| • | Meals are prepared by a motivated, valued and well trained workforce. |
| • | Catering staff are paid the national Living Wage |
| • | Schools, pupils and parents are regularly consulted on the menu and service. |
| • | Increase school meal uptake. |
| • | Food waste is kept to a minimum. |
| • | Special diets and allergies are well catered for. |
| • | School food quality monitoring is adequate, including reporting to the principal and trust central team. |
| • | Achieve a more consistent and sustainable approach to Catering across the Multi Academy Company. |
| • | Address the challenge of differing Contractors and end dates seeking one Contractor with co-terminus date for this contract |
| • | Ensure a consistently high level of service across all schools |
| • | Ensure there is a uniform pricing model |
