Market Engagement for Children’s Residential Provision in Surrey
Date: 21st February 2023, 14.00 – 15.30
Surrey County Council would like to warmly invite you to take part in our market engagement event for Residential providers for looked after children.
The purpose of these events will be to:
| - | Build on this feedback as we look to share and discuss our vision and priorities for the development of Children’s Residential provision in Surrey and within a 20-mile boundary through a Surrey DPS |
| - | Answer any questions you may have about the process or next steps |
Surrey County Council is embarking on an ambitious programme of change in relation to children’s social care placements. We are keen to work with our partners and providers to strengthen the provision we have available in Surrey, enabling better outcomes for children and young people.
We are beginning to develop our future residential offer and we would like to invite potential and existing providers to play a key part in shaping this.
Our Looked After Children and Care Leaver Sufficiency Strategy sets out the following five key ambitions, which are central to our vision for the recommissioned offer:

| • | Surrey Homes for Surrey children |
| • | A wide range of placements for diverse needs |
| • | Homes of the highest quality and; |
| • | Support Moves to independence |
Surrey County Council is committed to working collaboratively with providers to develop high quality Residential provision that contributes to improved outcomes for our children in care. We look forward to receiving your response and hearing your thoughts and ideas at the event.
