description

Market Information - Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (NEPTS) for Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board formerly NHS Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group, NHS East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group and NHS West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.

NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit on behalf of the Commissioner, Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) would like to notify Providers of the intention to publish the tender for these services in November 2022. The key objectives of the Procurement are to establish a contract with a patient transport Provider who can provide a high quality, cost effective service, efficient, and reliable transport service for patients. It is also the expectation that the service is comprehensive and resilient, and the provider will work as a partner within the local health system, adapt to the evolving landscape, and be able to respond to the system challenges.

The scope of NEPTS will include patients travelling to and from renal dialysis, patient journeys within the ICB, high dependency unit, and 'out of area' journeys from the ICB to other regions out of area including London acute trusts.

The Commissioners intend to procure the NEPTS under a single contract to cover the requirements of the entire region of Hertfordshire and West Essex. Please note that this is subject to change pending Authority Approval.

This follows the publishing of Notice reference: Notice references: 2021/S 000-023933 and 2022/S 000-009235
