Lancashire County Council (the Council) are reviewing our Intermediate Care offer across Lancashire. Intermediate Care services provide support for a short time to help recovery and increase independence and is a fundamental part of the Adult Social Care offer.
We are engaging with care providers, relevant NHS organisations and other relevant stakeholders to about our proposed approaches prior to recommissioning care services and commencing a procurement.
A competitive procurement is being assumed (subject to market interest and capability), which is currently scheduled to commence in late 2022 to enable providers to deliver the service(s) across Lancashire, covering the geographical spread of the Council.
The contract(s) will be expected to be awarded in Spring 2023 and service commencement would then be anticipated from August 2023. The council wishes to understand the views of interested providers, in relation to the delivery of Intermediate Care across Lancashire.
Responses to this request for information are likely to initiate follow-up engagement by the Council.
For the avoidance of doubt the proposals set out within this document are potential options, however they may change before an Invitation to Participate is published.
