description
The Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) within the Home Office wishes to undertake research on the current market for Fixed Vehicle Devices (FVD). A FVD is defined as an LTE Vehicle Device configured to give priority access for the three emergency services (3ES).
As such, ESMCP will be publishing a Request for Information in May 2022 to enable suppliers to express interest and potentially participate in supplier discussions in relation to the following:
| • | High level information on suppliers’ existing and potential FVD service offerings including accessories. |
| • | Supplier overview of product roadmap and capabilities for up to the next seven years. |
| • | Supplier views on trends in the wider FVD market. |
The outcome will inform ESMCP decisions on strategy and any new procurement activities. Any such decisions will be made solely at the Authority’s discretion.
An on-line supplier briefing will be held at 12.30 on Wednesday 18 May 2022. To register interest, please email ESMCPSupplier@homeoffice.gov.uk.
