Car Sharing Club

Westminster City Council ("the Authority") will be embarking on the re-procurement of it's Car Sharing Club concession contracts within the next 12 months.

This PIN Notice is being conducted in order to i) notify the market that a future tender opportunity will be available within the next 12 months and ii) obtain further information from Car Sharing industry providers to help gain a greater understanding of solutions available to the Authority to potentially support and shape our future Car Sharing Club requirements.

Car Sharing has been operating in Westminster City Council since 2009. One of the main aims of Car Sharing Club is to provide a greener alternative to private vehicle ownership for both residents and business within the City with the effect of improving air quality, easing congestion and freeing up kerb space. It also gives visitors and alternative option to explore Westminster and beyond on top of other modes of transport.

Westminster City Council currently hold various contracts with Car Sharing Club suppliers that operate various Car Sharing Club operating models however these will be coming to an end and as a result, the Council will be undertaking a procurement exercise. To help shape and determine the future operating models of the Car Sharing Club and how it's delivered in Westminster, we are inviting feedback from the industry on early procurement ideas to help shape our future specifications and scope of services and to gain a greater understanding of the Car Sharing market in general. As a result we are requesting that all interested suppliers complete the questionnaire and submit their response prior to the closing date specified.
