Goods-PIN-Supply and delivery of Ferric Sulphate

United Utilities has a requirement for the supply and delivery of Ferric Sulphate. Ferric Sulphate or (Ferric Sulfate) (or Fe2(SO4)3) is used on both water and wastewater sites at United Utilities as a coagulant. Ferric Sulphate is an inorganic chemical compound that is used to lower pH and/or flocculate contaminants in wastewater to aid in co-precipitation and removal of solids and metals. On clean water sites ferric sulphate is used as a coagulant.

The demand for Ferric Sulphate is increasing and will continue to do so over the next 4 years, after which it will stabilise at the higher volume.

The purpose of this pre-market engagement is to gain a view across a number of key areas to help determine our strategy and best approach to secure the long term supply of Ferric Sulphate, catering for the increased demand.
