Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards.
The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows:

| D. | Hull design and powering; |
| E. | Deck and equipment arrangement; |

| G. | Wheelhouse layout; |
| H. | Machinery arrangements; |
| I. | Displacement calculations; |
| J. | Lightship weight estimates; |
| K. | Stability calculations; |
| L. | Review; |
| M. | Resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling; |
| N. | Development of full technical specification for design and build tender; |
| O. | Regulatory and Class assessment and check; |
| P. | Estimate of build costs; |
| Q. | Preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender; |
| R. | Assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits; |
| S. | Design and drawing approval during design and build contract; |
| T. | Provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff). |
