Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) is seeking to employ a Museum Designer to lead a Design Team to redevelop the existing Wrexham Museum to incorporate a Football Museum for Wales.
In addition to the Museum Designer the Design Team will consist of an Architect and Quantity Surveyor. The Museum Designer will be responsible for bringing on board a suitable Architect with WCBC appointing a Quantity Surveyor to the Design Team at a later date. Please note that WCBC is not seeking to employ an Architect separate to this tender exercise.
The project will follow the traditional RIBA lifecycle with the Design Team required to produce plans and designs for Wrexham Museum that incorporates a new Football Museum for Wales.
The contract will be for two phases of work - the Development Phase and Delivery Phase. The Development Phase will run from RIBA 1 up to and including RIBA 3 with the Delivery Phase taking the project from RIBA 4 to RIBA stage 7.
