description

The Council is seeking to appoint a training partner which will work with the Get Oldham Working (GOW) campaign and Careers Advancement Service to identify key logistics companies in Oldham where Large Goods Vehicle and HGV opportunities are anticipated. The Training Provider will train existing warehouse or other staff within SME companies in the borough to obtain a Category C Large Goods Vehicle (and above) licence. This would enable employees to advance their careers and at the same time help businesses to grow. The companies will be offered support from the GOW partners to fill any vacancies that arise as a consequence of career progression from trainees.
