description
The chosen supplier has been commissioned to design and deliver a bespoke positive action talent development programme to help empower LGBTQ+ leaders within the organisation; in line with the Council's Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Strategy, and aims to strengthen their ability to influence and create sustainable change across the organisation. The programme seeks to support participants to become change-agents, who are able to influence others and manage relationships with senior leaders, whilst navigating difficult conversations. This will be through discussions, exercises, and Q&A sessions, in addition to sharing tools, practices and resources that help foster strength, connection and community.
The programme will be delivered through six, 90min interactive workshops; where theoretical knowledge is accompanied with best practice tools and holistic strategies for building leadership skills, influencing stakeholders and advocating for other LGBTQ+ employees. Brought to life by sharing lived experiences by a range of guest facilitators and speakers from their global LGBTQ+ Leadership collective.
As part of the programme, the supplier will also deliver a series of workshops for line managers and mentors from the Council's senior leadership team, to educate them about the philosophy of the programme, and how they can become better allies to employees from the LGBTQ+ community, to help drive culture change within the wider organisation. In addition to facilitating and end of programme event for participants, line managers, mentors, and senior leaders.
