description

The Trust's Kingsway Site comprises of five individual mental health units together with corporate and Estates buildings. The Kedleston Low Secure Unit provides a gender specific low secure service for males who demonstrate disturbed behaviour in the context of a serious mental disorder and who require the provision of security. The works comprise the construction of 2 small extensions and internal alterations of the Scarsdale ward and internal alterations of the Unit's common areas to provide an additional clinic room. The works are to be carried out whilst the Unit continues in use and there will be a requirement to phase the works to a defined programme.

Contractors to be considered for the tender process must show that they have experience of working in NHS mental health 'live' ward locations due to the sensitivity and risk to all parties in working in this type of environment.
