description
Brunel University London (BUL) invites Tenders for the award of a sub-threshold contract for a period of up to 5 years (3+1+1), for the provision of a Portable 3D virtual dissection tool solution for anatomy and physiology education, which will allow the human cadaveric specimen to be viewed, examined and dissected in a virtual environment, which can offer the advantages of three dimensional visualisation whilst retaining the accuracies of the features and dimensions of the human body. This opportunity is also being published voluntarily on Find a Tender.
Brunel University London (BUL) opened a new medical school in September 2022 - Brunel Medical School (BMS), within the College of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (CHMLS).
The College delivers successful undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes in a number of health-related clinical disciplines. The College is planning a significant expansion of its education and research provision over the coming years and implementation of a medical school is seen as a key aspect of that expansion.
The medical school is part of a joint strategy with local trusts, creating inter-professional learning opportunities and supporting the delivery of integrated care. The school is based at the University, and as is the case with our healthcare students, all medical students will undertake some of their clinical training in hospitals, clinics and the community-based healthcare providers close to the University campus.
BMS aims to deliver an innovative Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) curriculum that will prepare tomorrow's doctors, and part of that will be achieved by adopting teaching methods that are innovative, flexible for different types of learning, and that help integrate the basic sciences with clinical knowledge.
Medical students will experience a range of technologies, through our innovative curriculum e.g. artificial intelligence, robotics, virtual reality, and delivering virtual consultations to prepare for the rapidly changing medical landscape.
