description

The North East Combined Authority (NECA) is the accountable body for the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (North East LEP).

Sunderland City Council on behalf of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (North East LEP) / NECA is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified contractor to undertake a review of the North East's productivity to inform the development of the North East Local Industrial Strategy.

This will involve reviewing the North East's productivity performance, the barriers to and opportunities for productivity growth in the North East and the lessons the North East can learn from other regions. The appointed contractors should make detailed recommendations in relation to the policy interventions that are likely to have the greatest impact on increasing the productivity of the North East and how the North East LEP and its partners can improve the evidence base on productivity going forward.
