Provision of Court Transcribe Service for Ministry of Defence Police and Guarding Agency.

Expressions of interest are sought for the Contract of Court transcribes services to the Ministry of Defence Police.

The Ministry of Defence Police Professional Standards Department (PSD), based at MDP HQ, Wethersfield, Essex, is responsible for the investigation of Public Complaints and any allegations of Misconduct concerning MDP Officers. Acts of Gross Misconduct by MDP officers may result in a Misconduct Hearing taking place at MDP HQ. During these hearings a verbatim record of the proceedings must be taken.

Notice of a Hearing will be given to the Contractor at least 7 days in advance of the Hearing, should the Hearing be cancelled the Authority will inform the Contractor immediately.

The Contractor shall provide a transcript of the conclusions of the Panel, known as the “Findings and Sanctions” to PSD within 3 days after the Hearing.

The Contractor shall provide the complete transcript within 3 weeks of the conclusion of the Hearing to PSD, the transcripts shall be provided both electronically and in hard copy.

The Contractor shall make amendments to the transcripts when necessary and return the amendment transcript within 3 days to PSD.

This requirement is for a 3 year period including an option year which the authority has right to take up as required.
