description

We are seeking an external provider to undertake engagement with a wide range of stakeholders and re-write the Guidelines for Pastoral, Spiritual and Religious (PSR) care. We expect the guidelines to focus on areas of good practice, to address inequalities in provision and how PSR care can support patients, families, and staff.

The external provider will be supported by an independent Steering Group, established to support the development of the guidelines. This steering group has already been established at the start of the process and has the primary purpose of steering the development of the guidelines and ensuring that the provider appointed is engaging with a wide-range of stakeholders to inform the writing of the final document.

Whilst the Steering Group will be in the position to influence the development of the guidelines, the responsibility for the guidelines remains with NHS England. However, the Steering Group will have a role of ensuring that the guidelines that are being produced align with the NHS values around inclusion and patient choice.
