description

The Longer Duration Energy Storage Demonstration competition Stream 2 aims to accelerate commercialisation of innovative longer duration energy storage projects through to first-of-a-kind (FOAK) full-system prototypes. Funding is being provided under the SBRI towards capital expenditure (CAPEX) to selected technologies of technology readiness levels (TRLs) between 4 and 5. This procurement is for Phase 1 projects to deliver a feasibility study report for their proposed technology and contribute to knowledge dissemination and sector capacity-building. Projects that successfully complete Phase 1 will be entered into a competitive down-selection process for Phase 2 funding.
