***THIS NOTICE IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT AND MARKET ENGAGEMENT QUESTIONNAIRE ONLY***
The West Midlands Transforming Care Programme Commissioning Collaborative, comprising Coventry & Rugby CCG, South Warwickshire CCG, Solihull CCG, Warwickshire North CCG, Birmingham and Solihull CCG, Walsall CCG, Dudley CCG, Sandwell and West Birmingham CCG, Wolverhampton CCG, South Worcestershire CCG, Wyre Forest CCG, Redditch & Bromsgrove CCG, Warwickshire County Council, Coventry City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Worcestershire County Council, Birmingham City Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, Walsall Council and Wolverhampton Council are hosting a market engagement event to assist with their overall understanding of the market position for the provision of inpatient beds for people with complex learning disabilities and/or autism with behaviours that challenge.
The event will equip providers in this sector with some information around commissioners' intended direction of travel in this area, with a view to commissioners moving to a position of further clarity once they have the benefit of the information garnered from this event. With this in mind, the Commissioners, will be looking to address a number of key areas with the help of insight from providers:
| • | Shaping of the service specification. The basis of this is available as a download from this advert (please see attachments); |
| • | Shaping of the procurement methodology; and |
| • | General understanding of provider perceptions of the current market position with particular reference to bed availability and possible geographical limitations. |
In addition to the above, the market engagement event will provide an opportunity for providers to speak directly with Commissioners about the service, both as a group and individually. A light lunch will be provided at the end of the event with the express purpose of providing the time and space for providers to network with Commissioners and each other.
In advance of the event, Commissioners are keen to gather initial information from the market in the form of a questionnaire. Providers are asked to ensure they have read through the draft specification in advance of completion of the survey which can be completed as part of your online ticket booking via Eventbrite, the details of which can be found below.
The market engagement event will be held on Wednesday 19th September between 0930 and 1430. A light lunch will be provided. Details of the venue can be found when booking a place at the event via Eventbrite by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/west-midlands-transforming-care-collaborative-market-engagement-event-tickets-49327321346.
