description
Portsmouth City Council, 'the Authority', is inviting proposals from suitably qualified catering and retail operators for the rental of one or more of the 'Pop-Up Portsmouth' kiosks for the sale of products or services to both residents and visitors.
Operators can bid to occupy the kiosk(s) on a minimum term of 1 month up to a maximum term of 2 months. Charges have been set by the Authority;
- Low season: Mid-September to 1st April = ?100 per week for all units
- Mid-season: 2nd April to mid-July = ?150 per week for all units
- High season: summer holidays = ?200 per week for all units
Electricity is included in these fees and they are inclusive of VAT.
Please note that kiosks must be open minimum amount of 25 hours per week Thursday through to Sunday inclusive.
All kiosks have electricity but do not have access to running water. Kiosks are available empty and can be furnished according to the needs of the business occupying them, the Authority is also willing to permit external decoration however this must be agreed in advance.
It is of key importance that the items on offer at the kiosks do not duplicate existing offers on the seafront, for this reason the Authority will not accept proposals for ice-cream or hot & cold drinks unless this accompanies a food offer. The license does not allow alcohol to be sold.
Applicants will be required to complete an application form and submit all relevant documents as requested via Intend. The deadline for submissions is 24th April 2018 at 12:00.
