HCC - 07/16 The Provision of a Family Group Conference Coordinator / Advocate for the Family Group Conference Service

The Family Group Conference Service (FGCS) was initially set up in Hertfordshire in 2009 by the Council to deliver the Family Group Conference (FGC) model of working with families. The Service is currently located within the Child Protection and Statutory Review Service of Hertfordshire County Councils Children’s Services, Safeguarding and Specialist Services. The FGCS recognises the rights and responsibilities of families and communities to make decisions about their children and provides a framework for families to exercise this responsibility, the Family Group Conference.

The contract will be split into two separate lots. Lot 1 will be for FGC coordinators and Lot 2 will be for FGC advocates. Applicants are able to apply for individual lots or apply for both lots.

Tenderers should be aware that due to the nature of the Services provided, any Contract formed as a result of this procurement process shall be executed as a deed and attested under the common seal of the Council. Tenderers should seek independent legal advice on the implications of this prior to submitting their Tender, where appropriate.
