** THIS ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT**
The aim of the Spirometry and Reporting Service is to identify patients who have symptoms suggestive of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who present to their GP or who are identified through case finding.
The high-level objectives of the Service are:
- to ensure the accuracy of diagnosis and severity of the disease in people with COPD
- to increase the proportion of people with COPD who are diagnosed comparing recorded prevalence with predicted prevalence
- to increase the number of people accurately diagnosed at an early stage of the disease
- to help to decrease the number of people dying prematurely from COPD
- to ensure that users of the Service have a positive experience of care
- to enhance the quality of life for people with COPD
- to ensure effective communication between relevant health professionals
Birmingham South Central CCG is planning on holding a market engagement event would like to extend an invitation to all interested parties. This market event will give an overview of the current services provided in Birmingham, describe the CCGs’ visions going forward and explain the procurement process. This is an opportunity for you to hear more about our proposals, provide feedback and to ask us questions, as well as an opportunity to meet other interested organisations.
The event details are as follows:
Location – Saffron Centre, 256 Moseley Rd, Birmingham B12 0BS
Date – Thursday, 11th August 2016
Time – Room available from 12:30pm for tea/coffee/pastries – event start at 1:00pm until 4:00pm
