Market Engagement - Provision of Bars for the Bedford River Festival

On behalf of Bedford Borough Council, I would like to invite you to attend a Market Sounding meeting about Provision of Bars for the Bedford River Festival, 23rd & 24th July 2022, Bedford.

The Council(s) are currently in the process of preparing to retender its Provision of Bars for the Bedford River Festival, 23rd & 24th July 2022. As part of our tender preparation, we would like to take the opportunity to speak to your company to enable us to fully understand and discuss possible options to assist the Councils in shaping a future procurement exercise. The Councils are keen to produce a tender that is commercially attractive to a wide range of suppliers, whilst also delivering on key priorities.

The contract will be for the provision of up to nine bars for the Bedford River Festival 2022 between 23rd & 24th July. This consist of four main bars and five specialist bars of varying sizes. The Council wishes to employ a reusable bar cup scheme in place for the 2022 River Festival event and would like to discuss options and how providers could see this working. As Marston's PLC are the Headline Festival Sponsor, all Draught Ales, Lagers and Ciders must be supplied by them.

We would be really pleased to meet with you to discuss some of aforementioned objectives of the council. Along with share new ideas on how the bar provision could run.

Companies are invited to express an interest in this market sounding exercise via the portals correspondence section by 8th October 2021. Meeting slots through MS Teams will then be offered to those companies expressing an interest.

Meetings will be held virtually via MS teams and separate slots will be provided to each interested company and will last approximately one hour. Meetings will be attended by the Event Manger, council officers and a member of staff from the Council procurement team.
