description
The scope of this contract is for a provider to deliver specialised digital training to PhD calibre students within the north-east region.
Newcastle University with partners Durham University, Teesside University and Northumbria University are working collaboratively to enhance the numbers of PhD students considering establishing a business and going on to do so within the region creating more and better jobs. The proposal will target exceptional PhD students in the region providing specialist and specific support within an identified timeframe.
Newcastle University will lead this procurement on behalf of the partnership but representation and input from all three universities will be consistent across the selection, initiation, delivery and evaluation of this programme. We are keen to deliver a unified region wide programme but please note that invoicing arrangements will need to be split across the partners and the delivery will vary slightly.
The programme we are looking to procure will be bespoke ensuring the impact of the support provided can be measured and added value can be identified; supporting evaluation and longer term adoption. The beneficiaries of this support will be existing PhD students engaged with deep technologies which are poised to become game changers for the future economy and society. They will receive a targeted and specific enterprise support offer that will encourage spin out formation and business development ideas.
