description
Medway Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Medway Council (the Council) are ambitious for all its children and strives to support children to have the best start in life. The CCG and the Council want all children to be confident and resilient individuals, successful learners, effective contributors and responsible citizens. Children are best supported to achieve this through resilient families, who in turn contribute to thriving communities. The CCG and the Council wants all children to grow up in circumstances where parents or carers provide safe and effective care. Therefore the CCG and the Council seek formal quotations to appoint a provider to deliver the provision of Post Adoption Support Services. The Post Adoptive Services are to birth families who have been a part of the adoption process of a child in Medway. The service is to provide counselling and support, intensive family outreach and support to birth families during and post adoption, to access evidenced based support programmes for domestic violence/alcohol/drug abuse. The service should supports effective communication with statutory agencies and signposting to other specialist services. In addition self-development and peer support groups along with identity work will be undertaken. The Initial contract will be awarded to one provider for the duration of one year with the option to extend for one further year. The contract value quoted of £76,646 is based on the total contractual length possible inclusive of extension options as outlined above (2 years, 1+1).
