Water submetering

The University of Salford is situated 2km from Manchester City Centre and has approximately 16,000 students who study across 27 buildings across three campuses: Peel, Frederick Road and Media City. The main campus map can be viewed here. The University is evolving and has developed a transformational masterplan in collaboration with Salford City Council. Over the next two decades the campus will radically change with significant development planned for the first phase 2020 - 2024. Controlling carbon emissions and utility consumption and cost is vital going forward and this commission will deliver comprehensive building level water monitoring and enable better performance management in future.

The University of Salford wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced company to install 1) water submeters across the estate and 2) suitable communications equipment to enable the water

submeter data to be collated onto the University's BMS Front End Enteliweb. The core outcome of the commission will be accurate data successfully feeding into and displaying on the monitoring portal.

This invitation to tender together with the other tender documents specifies the requirements, terms and conditions of the tender to be compiled with by the tenderers in preparing and submitting the tenders.
