This is an early engagement to give advance notification to potential suppliers that may be interested in discussing with the Commissioners the requirements of the service and applying for this future contract opportunity. The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking to contract with a reputable, suitably experienced and qualified organisation to provide an innovative, creative and flexible personalised care and support service for Adults with learning disabilities. The care and support service will be delivered from an existing scheme located at 34-36 Huddlestone Close, London, E2 9NR.
The existing service currently delivers residential care and has the capacity to support up to 6-7 people across three adjoining houses; ( three in House 34, one in House 35 plus a further three in House 36). It is the Authority's intention that the scheme will be de-registered from residential care to Supported Living offering intensive 24hrs support 7 days a week to people with complex needs, behaviour that challenges, physical disability and mobility needs.
This contract will support the Adult Learning Disability Strategy (2017 to 2020), "Living Well in Tower Hamlets" which set out the Councils approach to improve support for adults with learning disability. Local people with learning disability, their family and carers, staff, organisations and the community contributed to developing the Strategy by sharing what was important to them and how outcomes could be improved. The six key outcomes areas for people with learning disability identified as important are:-
| • | Be happy and healthy |
