1516-137 - Door Entry System and Communal Entrance Doors Replacement Projects for Elia Street and Tiber Gardens

Islington Council invites suitable expressions of interest from suppliers to design, supply, install and commission replacement door entry systems and communal entrances to residential blocks at Elia Street and Tiber Gardens. <b>Background </b> Elia Street and Tiber Gardens are residential inner city municipal housing estates constructed in the 1960's located in the Islington area of London. Door entry services are currently delivered to the listed locations by ageing obsolete door entry systems where the system manufacturer has ceased trading and system parts being unavailable for remedial works and repairs. <b>The requirement </b> This scheme will upgrade and replace individual door entry systems and communal entrance doors to residential blocks at Elia Street and Tiber Gardens. The project includes the following: Replacement and upgrading of the blocks existing door entry systems with new access control that is compliant with the Equality Act 2010, and proximity fob systems, including the provision and installation of new audio handsets within the dwellings to be on the door entry system, caller panel, push to exit buttons, new fireman's override switch and all associated electrical and builder's work. Establishing new digital concierge compatible video ready compliant door entry systems, to dwellings and to comply with the Equality Act 2010. The provision of proximity access control systems linked to controllers for programming of systems via the local housing office; interface to door entry systems; the supply of key fobs; the programming of the system; and all cabling required. The provision of complete cable management systems to all items of door entry equipment comprising new galvanised containment in communal areas and mini-trunking within dwellings. The commissioning and testing of the door entry systems and proximity access control systems by selected system manufacturer. The provision of 12-month maintenance inclusive of call outs of the systems installed under this contract. The removal of the existing 19No. communal main and rear entrance doors at Elia Street and associated screens to be replaced with new high security steel similar style to the existing bespoke main entrance doors secured by magna locks (Elia Street). The installation of 2No. new metal clad 12 way consumer units and associated wiring to existing Landlord Electrical Supply in compliance with the current BS7671:2008+A3: Requirements for Electrical Installations (Elia Street).
